This group of men had the difficult job of choosing the best out of four American potential defenders down to one for the America's Cup races in September. The New York Yacht Club Selection Committee in 1964 were (l.-r.): Henry Sears, Julian K. Roosevelt, Henry S. Morgan (chairman of the committee), Percy Chubb II, George R. Hinman, DeCoursey Fales, W.
