Description: 8 x 10 gelatin silver print taken by Rosenfeld and Sons in 1946. Port beam view of the hydroplane TEMPO VI being craned from her trailer. Her owner, Guy Lombardo, is seen posed in the foreground. The event was the 1946 Red Bank Regatta, Red Bank, NJ. Stamped on back in blue rectangular box: "MORRIS ROSENFELD / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATOR / 116 NASSAU STREET, N.Y. / Phone BEekman 3-4970". Also stamped: "Order No. 781 / MOTOR BOATING / 8/21 Wanted 8/26/46". TEMPO VI was built by the Ventnor Boat Co., Egg Harbor City, NJ 1938. She was designed by Arno A. Apel, and launched as MY SIN. Guy Lombardo was a famous big band leader. Original negative 1984.187.114676F. Clipping affixed to back: "Above: Guy Lombardo and his Gold Cup / racer Tempo VI, which won the National / Sweepstakes Trophy in three straight 15-/ mile heats. Her best speed was 65.3 m.p.h.".
