Description: 8 x 10 gelatin silver print taken by Rosenfeld and Sons in 1954. Starboard beam view of the schooner PLEIONE (F 1) under sail. Seen during the New York Yacht Club Cruise. PLEIONE was Herreshoff built and designed. She was built as a sloop in 1913 and converted to a yawl, before becoming a schooner in 1926. Her home port was Marblehead, MA in 1954, she had auxiliary power installed in 1923.
