Description: The first day of the 52nd Annual Larchmont Race Week featured a "whistling northerly" when this Luders 16 was most likely photographed. Some 280 of these 26'4" sloops came from the Luders Marine Construction Co. of Stamford, CT. This was one of the largest boats to be built using hotmolded plywood constructin developed during World War II.
