Description: 8x10 gelatin silver print from 2.5x3 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons on August 13, 1958. Image of 69' Alexander Robertson and Sons designed, David Boyd built 12 meter class boat SCEPTRE (built 1958 in Sandbank, Scotland) being unloaded by 135' crane barge CHALLENGER (built 1942 in Trenton, N.J.) in New York City harbor. Visible in image: port view of SCEPTRE being lowered by crane on barge "CHALLENGER / MERRITT CHAPMAN & SCOTT / 250 MADISON AVE. NEW YORK NY" from the steamer on which SCEPTRE was shipped on across the Atlantic Ocean. CREDIT LINE: Mystic Seaport, Rosenfeld Collection.
